The design history movement I was assigned was the Isotype movement, which heavily consists of icons to convey a language without words.
After researching the icons used in the movement, I sketched a variety of posters using the icons to create a story to be interpreted by the viewer.
Using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, I created the icons and refined my ideas from my sketch. I also added colors commonly used in the movement.

I began by researching everything there is to know about the Selfridge Air Show along with the history behind the coin and the base itself.
After finding out the meanings behind the design elements on the 127th Wing's insignia, I incorporated them into the sketches I did.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I finalized my favorite design using elements and colors that I found to be most important to the history of the base.
